For centuries, natural stone has been used because of its strength, permanence, and beauty.
But technology is changing how we can use it.
In 2026, some of the most exciting natural stone applications aren't necessarily heavier or thicker.
They're becoming thinner, lighter, more dimensional—and even illuminated.
Backlit translucent stone, ultra-slim natural stone veneer, bookmatched marble, carved panels, fluted surfaces, and other dimensional treatments are turning ordinary walls into architectural features.
The result is an entirely different way of thinking about stone.
Instead of hanging artwork on the wall, what if the wall itself became the artwork?
